TwentyFour IT Services are incredibly proud to congratulate our Managing Director, Mike Smith, on being elected to join the Doncaster Chamber Board of Directors as a Non-Executive Director (NED).
Mike has been elected alongside Virginia Perkins of Hesley Group and Lewis Smith of MultiWeb Marketing, beginning a 3-year term that will run through to 2029.
This is a proud moment for Mike and for the wider TwentyFour team. As a business built in Doncaster, working closely with businesses across the city and wider South Yorkshire region, we have always believed that strong local businesses help create stronger local communities and support success within our region.
Supporting the Future of Doncaster Business
Doncaster Chamber is an independent, not-for-profit membership organisation, run by the business community and for the business community. Its Board of Directors ensure that the Chamber continues to meet its strategic objectives in line with it its 3 year strategy, support its members and represent local businesses across the region.
For Mike, joining the Doncaster Chamber Board of Directors represents an opportunity to contribute further to the chamber and the business community that has played such a significant role in TwentyFour’s own growth journey.
As Managing Director of TwentyFour IT Services, Mike’s experience as a business leader, entrepreneur and long-standing supporter of local businesses in our region will bring valuable insight to the Board, particularly at a time when businesses are navigating ongoing challenges around growth, technology, skills, security and resilience.
A Continued Commitment to the Local Business Community
TwentyFour’s relationship with Doncaster Chamber spans more than a decade. Over that time, we have proudly supported the Chamber with IT Support and Cyber Security services, worked alongside Chamber members, attended and supported local events, and continued to champion business success across the region.
Earlier this year, TwentyFour also became Patrons of Doncaster Chamber of Commerce, reflecting our continued commitment to supporting collaboration, resilience and long-term growth throughout the local business community.
Mike’s election to the Board, for a 3-year term through to 2029, is another important step in that ongoing relationship and supporting the chambers “Good to Great” growth strategy.
Mike Smith, Managing Director at TwentyFour IT Services, said:
“It is a genuinely humbling experience that so many voted for my adoption as a Non-Executive Director to the Doncaster Chamber, an organisation that does so much to promote and support SMEs in the local area. I look forward to helping Dan Fell and his superb team in whatever way I can to help them and the local business community succeed.”
